Terms & Conditions of Sale
Effective 21 October 2026
Conditions applying to rings purchased directly from our website or by accepted quotation, including manufacturing,
shipping, ring sizing, craftsmanship and customer rights.
1. Scope and priority
These Terms apply when you purchase from The Wooden Circle Co (also trading as The Wooden Circle) directly
through our website or by a quotation, invoice or other order process expressly offered by us. The relevant product
page, agreed custom quotation, order confirmation, our Returns, Refunds & Resizing Policy and these Terms should
be read together.
Where these Terms differ from a more favourable product-specific promise or the final agreed written specification,
the specific promise or agreed specification applies, subject to applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes,
restricts or modifies consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
2. Products, manufacture and listings
We design and handcraft every ring individually to order in New South Wales, Australia. Materials include tantalum,
titanium, Damascus steel, Timascus, bronze, stainless steel, gold, silver, mokume gane, wood, carbon fibre and
other specialist constructions as specified in the individual listing. Ring interiors are flat fit by default unless a
different interior is expressly requested and agreed before manufacture.
The listing and order confirmation control the precise composition, profile, nominal size, width, finish, engraving and
other specifications. An image is illustrative; actual wood grain, metal patterns, hand-finishing, etched Damascus
effects, anodised colours and natural patina can vary. Such inherent variation is acceptable only where the finished
product otherwise conforms to its description and the law.
3. Ordering and acceptance
Please review the selected ring size and sizing system, width, finish, material, engraving and delivery address before
checkout or accepting a written quotation. We may ask you to confirm ambiguous or unavailable specifications
before manufacture. An automated order acknowledgement confirms receipt; acceptance occurs when we expressly
confirm the order or begin processing it, subject to applicable law.
If a required material is unavailable, a genuine pricing or website description error arises, a proposed design is not
technically feasible, or an order cannot lawfully be fulfilled, we will contact you to discuss a lawful alternative or
cancellation. If the order is cancelled, we will refund the applicable payment to the original payment method as
required by law.
4. Customisation and approval
Every ring is individually made after an order is placed. Some follow catalogue choices while others involve bespoke
dimensions, customer artwork, engraving or agreed design changes. The standard interior profile is flat fit unless a
different profile is requested by the customer and we confirm that request in writing before production. We work to
the final agreed specification.
If you ask to change a size, material, engraving or other specification after ordering, contact us immediately.
Changes cannot be guaranteed after work has begun. We will disclose and seek agreement to any lawful additional
cost before proceeding. No unagreed new fee will be imposed.
5. Cancellations
Cancellation requests received within two days (48 hours) after purchase are accepted for orders placed directly
through our website or by an order process we expressly offer. Please email woodencircle@outlook.com with the
order number and cancellation request. Any applicable refund will be made through the original payment method.
Mandatory cancellation and remedy rights remain unaffected.
After the two-day period, please contact us to see whether an amendment or cancellation is still possible. Production
may already be underway. Any mandatory legal rights continue to apply regardless of the two-day period. Any more
favourable cancellation terms specifically confirmed for your order will be honoured.
6. Ring sizes, fitting and production tolerances
US ring sizes are our normal product-selection format, but we can accept an Australian size when expressly agreed
in writing before manufacture. Please make the requested size and sizing system clear. A wide band, particularly
one 6 mm or wider, may feel tighter than a narrow sizing ring; obtain a measurement with an appropriately wide sizer

where possible. We recommend at least one reputable professional fitting and, where practical, an independent
confirmation.
Unless another profile is requested and agreed before production, rings have a flat-fit interior. We do not
automatically increase a selected US ring size to compensate for width. Contact us before placing an order about
the preferred fit, width and sizing method. We are responsible for manufacturing to the agreed size and
specifications; subjective fit is influenced by finger shape and other factors.
Resizing is technically possible for some, but not all, rings. Feasibility and the available adjustment depend on the
material and ring style; some may only allow an increase of around one-quarter to one-half of a US size. A ring that
cannot be adjusted may require a new ring. Any optional work for an incorrectly customer-selected size is separately
quoted on request; the cost varies by material, design, alteration and postage. No paid work commences without
agreement to the quotation. Faulty or incorrectly supplied goods remain subject to statutory remedies.
7. Prices, taxes and payment
The purchase price and transaction currency are those shown on our website at checkout or in the written quotation
accepted by the customer. A quotation will identify its currency, including AUD where stated. Taxes, shipping,
delivery upgrades and any discounts apply as disclosed and agreed at purchase. Any import charges not collected
by us are addressed in the international shipping section below.
Payments are handled by the payment methods and third-party processors made available at checkout or identified
on an invoice. We do not need customers to send complete payment-card details by email or message. Payment
processors may independently handle transaction information under their own terms and privacy notices.
8. Production and delivery estimates
Our pieces are handcrafted to order. Production time varies by materials, complexity and current workload; the
product listing or a written message provides the relevant estimate. If you require an item for a wedding or another
fixed date, ask us before purchasing. Unless expressly guaranteed, production and delivery times are estimates, not
guaranteed arrival dates.
We will notify you of significant production delays when practicable. The legal consequences of substantial delay,
non-delivery or breach of an agreed delivery requirement are governed by applicable law.
9. Delivery, tracking, risk and insurance
Available standard and express shipping options, tracking and any signature or insurance service are those stated
on our website at checkout or expressly confirmed for your order. Service availability, timeframes and cover may
vary by destination and selected delivery method.
A customer must supply correct and complete delivery details. Please notify us as soon as possible about errors; an
address change after dispatch may not be possible. If a parcel is returned because of a buyer-supplied incorrect
address, non-collection or lawful unpaid charges, reasonable redelivery expenses may apply where allowed and
appropriately communicated.
Contact us if an order is lost, delayed or damaged in delivery. Any optional insurance or shipping upgrade cannot be
used to exclude rights for loss, damage or non-delivery where the seller remains responsible under applicable law.
Our carrier arrangements and insurance do not transfer legal risk earlier than permitted.
10. International shipping and import charges
We ship to eligible international destinations subject to availability and applicable customs, trade and product-safety
requirements. Customs duties, import taxes and processing charges may be collected at checkout, prepaid by us
where expressly offered, or payable on arrival where lawfully disclosed. We will identify any included prepaid import
charges and will not charge undisclosed post-purchase fees contrary to law.
For non-US orders, any customs duties, local taxes and handling charges not included in the order may be payable
by the recipient if lawfully disclosed. Delays may occur during customs clearance. We will not exclude our mandatory
responsibilities for fulfilment or delivery.
11. Materials, patina and ring care
Rings are durable jewellery, not indestructible equipment. Titanium, tantalum and other metals can scratch, dent or
mark through normal wear. Certain metals may develop patina; patterned, layered and anodised materials may
change in appearance with wear.
Wooden/bentwood rings should be kept as dry as practical, protected from repeated immersion, chlorine, salt water,
alcohol-based sanitiser and harsh chemicals, and removed for heavy manual work or impact-prone activities. A
small join may be visible in bentwood construction. Specific care guidance varies by materials, and the product’s
supplied instructions should be followed.

12. Allergies and specialist materials
Material composition is disclosed in listings and may vary between designs. If you have a known metal allergy or
chemical sensitivity, ask for the precise composition and intended skin-contact materials before ordering. We do not
guarantee suitability for every person, and this does not override obligations concerning material descriptions or
safety.
13. Returns, refunds and remedies
For direct website orders, discretionary change-of-mind returns and exchanges are generally not accepted because
every ring is made to order. An incorrectly customer-selected size does not itself create a discretionary refund
entitlement, but we may separately quote a resizing or remake service where technically feasible.
For goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrectly manufactured, misdescribed or not delivered, we will provide the
remedies required by Australian Consumer Law or other applicable mandatory consumer laws. Please see our
Returns, Refunds & Resizing Policy for claim procedures, any international statutory withdrawal rights and
associated postage arrangements.
14. Guarantee of Craftsmanship — 12 months
TWC warrants each ring against defects in materials & workmanship, for a period of twelve months from the date of
purchase. The voluntary guarantee applies to defects in materials and manufacturing workmanship, provided the
ring is maintained in accordance with its care instructions. It excludes ordinary wear and tear and damage resulting
from abuse, misuse, negligence or inadequate care. Third-party modification, repair or resizing may affect voluntary
coverage where it causes or contributes to the issue. These terms do not reduce or replace statutory consumer
guarantees or other mandatory remedies.
For a materials or workmanship claim, contact us using the order number, relevant details and photographs where
practical. We will assess the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy for an accepted voluntary-guarantee claim;
our Returns, Refunds & Resizing Policy describes the claims procedure and reasonable claim-related postage. This
guarantee is additional to any statutory rights and must be supplied in writing with the goods where required by
Australian law.
15. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably
foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the
failure does not amount to a major failure.
16. International consumer protections
Depending on destination and the circumstances of sale, mandatory withdrawal, conformity, remedy, safety and
disclosure obligations may apply. Certain eligible EU/EEA distance purchases carry a 14-day withdrawal right after
receipt; genuinely bespoke or clearly personalised goods may fall within an exception. A standard item does not
automatically become exempt merely because it is made after the order. Our Returns, Refunds & Resizing Policy
describes how eligible buyers may give notice.
17. Discounts, promotions and gifts
Any discount, gift-wrapping or promotional offer is governed by its displayed conditions. Promotions may have stated
eligibility, expiry and combinability restrictions; nothing in a promotion reduces consumer guarantees. A gift
recipient’s statutory rights and the original purchaser’s rights are unaffected by this clause.
18. Customer-provided designs and intellectual property
When you provide engraving artwork or custom instructions, you confirm you have any necessary rights to authorise
their use. You permit us to use the material solely as reasonably necessary to quote, create and fulfil the approved
order. Unless otherwise agreed, you retain rights in your original supplied artwork; we retain rights in our own
original designs, photographs, marks and other creative work.
19. Privacy and customer communications
We use customer and order details for quotation, manufacture, fulfilment, payment administration, customer service
and other purposes described in our Privacy Policy. Essential service providers may process information needed to
deliver those services. We do not provide customer order records to independent manufacturing or marketing
agencies, and we send promotional communications only where lawfully authorised.

20. Limits and governing law
Where the law permits, we are not responsible for loss caused solely by misuse, buyer-caused accidental damage
or an unauthorised alteration. This is not an exclusion of liability for goods failing consumer guarantees, our own
negligence where liability cannot be excluded, or other mandatory legal remedies.
These Terms are governed by New South Wales law to the extent permitted, without depriving consumers of
mandatory protections applicable to their purchase or place of residence. If one clause cannot be enforced, the
remaining lawful terms continue to apply.
21. Changes and disputes
We may update these Terms for future orders. Changes do not retrospectively alter accepted purchases unless
agreed or permitted by law. Contact us at woodencircle@outlook.com with your order number and details of any
concern. Your applicable consumer and dispute rights remain unaffected.
